Tom Hayden is President of Smithsonian Networks.
Since joining Showtime Networks in 1989, Mr. Hayden has served in various executive capacities. In 2006, he was given the responsibility of launching and developing Smithsonian Channel, a joint venture between Showtime Networks and the Smithsonian Institution, which launched in 2007. Smithsonian Channel combines the storytelling expertise of Showtime with the unmatched resources of the world’s largest museum and research complex. Its Emmy® and Peabody Award-winning programming entertains, educates and inspires.
Mr. Hayden previously served as Executive Vice President, Direct-To-Home and Senior Vice President, Strategy and Development, as Senior Vice President, Business Planning & Analysis, as Vice President, Financial Services, as Director of National Accounts, and as Northeast Regional Director Showtime Networks.
Prior to joining Showtime, Mr. Hayden spent 12 years at Kraft Foods, Inc., where he held a variety of sales, marketing and business development positions. Mr. Hayden received his BA in Political Science from Pennsylvania State University and his MBA from Rockhurst College in Kansas City, Missouri.
