October 22, 2009 (Los Angeles, CA)-- ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT has learned that Dame Elizabeth Taylor was among the first to see Michael Jackson's concert documentary 'This Is It.'
A source tells ET exclusively that Dame Elizabeth hosted a private screening of 'This Is It' this past weekend at MGM. The legendary screen icon had a long term contract with the studio.
Guests included her longtime love Jason Winters, son Christopher Wilding and his wife Margie; Jose Eber and Miko Brando -- Marlon Brando's son and Michael's former assistant. We're told Michael's entire staff was also at the screening.
Dame Elizabeth was overheard saying, "The film was pure genius and the most magnificent film." According to the source, she led a standing ovation at the end of the film.
Though she is regularly out in a wheelchair, we're told she watched in a theater seat and didn't require the use of the device that evening.
