SENATOR BARACK OBAMA TALKS ABOUT LIFE OFF THE CAMPAIGN TRAIL AND WHAT HOLLYWOOD STAR HE WOULD LIKE TO PLAY HIM IN A MOVIE

February 25, 2008 (Los Angeles, CA)-- On Saturday, ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT's JANN CARL sat down exclusively with Senator Barack Obama aboard his private plane as he traveled from Austin, Texas to Columbus, Ohio in a personal in-depth interview to air on Tuesday, February 26th and Wednesday February 27th.

A different side of Senator Obama was shown throughout the interview as he discussed how his presidential campaign is affecting his children, "The deal breaker is getting them a dog. Their whole thing is after the campaign, win or lose, they will get a dog. Sometimes I worry they're rooting for me to lose so they can get their dog quicker."

On wife Michelle, Senator Obama tells ET her best quality is her sense of humor, "She's is very funny, she can really make you laugh. Sometimes it's at my expense. She's allowed to tease me, but I'm not allowed to tease her. That's sort of a rule of our marriage that I've abided by."

Life on the campaign trail can be grueling, but Senator Obama says he maintains a healthy lifestyle, "I try to have three square meals. Sometimes when you're out in remote areas there's not much you can do. You go for a burger, that's safe. If you start getting fancy you could get into trouble. If you're in a place like Iowa or Wisconsin there's gonna be cheese on just about everything. If you start eating too much junk you'll never survive." When not on the road, he says his favorite home cooked meal is "fried chicken" and favorite snack is "almonds."

What does he miss the most while out on the campaign trail? "I don't have time to write or as much time to read as I used to." He goes on to reveal that on occasion he will disguise himself when going out, "The baseball cap and glasses tends to be classic, blue jeans, sneakers. I don't want to give it all away!" As for downtime, Senator Obama tells ET his favorite films are "The Godfather 1 and 2 and Lawrence of Arabia. I love Jimmy Stewart, Spencer Tracy, Humphrey Bogart, Meryl Streep, Susan Sarandon, and Angela Bassett."

If a movie were made about his life, Senator Obama says Will Smith would play him, "Will and I have talked about this because he has the ears!"
