Tricia Helfer to Host Canadian Version of the UPN Hit Series

CANADA’S NEXT TOP MODEL to premiere in May 2006



November 21, 2005, Hollywood, CA – CBS Paramount International Television has entered into an exclusive agreement to launch Canada’s version of the UPN hit, AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL, with CHUM Television in Canada. Canadian actress and former Supermodel Tricia Helfer will host the Canadian version of the show.

CANADA’S NEXT TOP MODEL will premiere on CHUM’s Citytv stations in May of 2006. CNTM will be co-produced by Temple Street Productions and May Street Productions in association with CBS Paramount International Television and CHUM Television.

In making the announcement, Armando Nunez, President, CBS Paramount International Television commented, "’America's Next Top Model’ has been a big success for Citytv and we anticipate this streak will continue with ‘Canada's Next Top Model.’ We are proud to add Canada to the growing roster of international territories that have embraced the Top Model format."

CANADA’S NEXT TOP MODEL will begin its search for participants Monday, November 21st. The series will air between cycles of the U.S. show.

Canada joins Australia, France, Germany, Russia, the United Kingdom, Thailand, the Philippines, Sweden, Norway and Denmark in licensing the format rights for NEXT TOP MODEL.

AMERICA’S NEXT TOP MODEL is produced by 10 by 10 Entertainment in association with Bankable Productions and is currently in its fifth cycle on UPN in the U.S. and has been airing on Citytv in Canada since the fall of 2004.
