Brandon Tierney joined CBS Sports Network in 2013, serving as a studio analyst for THAT OTHER PREGAME SHOW through 2019. In 2017, CBS Sports Radio’s nationally-syndicated show, TIKI AND TIERNEY, cohosted by Tierney and former NY Giants running back, Tiki Barber, began simulcasting on CBS Sports Network. The show airs weekdays from 3:00-6:00 PM, ET and is carried on more than 120 stations nationwide.
Prior to joining CBS Sports Network, Tierney hosted the “The Drive with Tierney and Bucher” on 95.7 FM in San Francisco. Before moving West, he spent nine years hosting various shows on ESPN Radio in New York City. In addition to his hosting duties, Tierney also anchored New York Knicks pre-game, half-time and post-game shows for three seasons on ESPN Radio and served as a contributing play-by-play announcer for the station’s Knicks broadcasts. Since 2004, he has peroiodically served as the lead analyst for St. John’s men’s basketball team.
From 2006-10, Tierney served as a panelist on SportsNet New York’s (SNY) signature show, “The Wheelhouse.” He resumed his role as a panelist in 2013. Tierney also hosted the “Red Storm Report” with former St. John’s head coaches Steve Lavin and Norm Roberts on MSG+.
In 2010, Tierney received a New York Emmy Award for his role on SNY’s NBA’s “Free Agent Frenzy” program. In July of 2012, he was named to the first annual Heavy Hundred of Sports Talk by the editors of Talkers Magazine, recognizing the 100 most important radio hosts in America. A graduate of Marist College, Tierney graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism (and lettered all four years in baseball.) He now resides in New Jersey with his wife and two kids.
